Outlook Known issues in May 2024 updates
Outlook forwards meeting invitations to other attendees without anyone actually sending an update or forwarding an invite. This happens to accounts that are configured in the iOS Mail app. The issues documented in this section have been reported after installing the recent updates listed below. We're investigating the issues and will update this page when a fix is available. In the meantime, please use the workarounds suggested for each issue. Corrupted or badly set-up Outlook profiles can often cause start-up problems.

Outlook known issues in the Nov 2017 updates
Sometimes, issues can be caused due to a corrupt Outlook OST file. To repair corrupt OST file, you can use the built-in ScanPST.exe tool provided by Microsoft. Alternatively, you can delete or rename the existing corrupt OST file and rebuild the OST file. Outlook Known issues in March 2023 updates
The app might refuse to launch or crash at the splash screen. Once PSTs start climbing past 2 GB, things get shaky. Outlook slows down, crashes randomly, or fails to load entirely. Users often turn to Microsoft’s ScanPST tool, but it struggles with large files and doesn’t always finish the job. To edit a shared calendar, go online to your own Outlook.com calendar, open Calendar clear Outlook credentials manager for Windows 10, or use a mobile device.
Until you can install the Windows Update fix release, you can set a registry key that will cause Outlook to stop using the local Windows Search service. When this registry key is set, Outlook will use its own built-in search engine. The built-in search will display the message below to indicate it is not using the Windows Search service. To access the calendar shared with your Microsoft 365 for business account, you'll need to accept the invitation from Outlook on the web, iOS, or Android. If you've already clicked the Accept button in Outlook 2016, you won't be able to re-accept the invitation from another Outlook application. The person who sent you the invitation will need to remove your permissions and then send a new invitation.
